Chongqing Children's Art Project
Hi, everyone!
Selling my art directly to people from all over the world let me "meet" many amazing people.
Ellen is one of such people. She is helping the orphanage in China. Well, my English is not good enough to describe her great work. But you can visit her Website here. She has cute 2012 calender - check them out!

I've won a giveaway from Judy recently.
And here is the prize!
The cushion is so soft and lovely - I want to take a nap on it myself.
The toy is really well made with fine stitches and beautiful bright colors.
All are packaged with extreme care. What a thoughtful, wonderful artist she is!
(I'm not quite sure if she is selling any of her creations. But if she does, I'll recommend her all the way.)
I'm so glad that I received my prize before the looming Canada Post strike.
Thank you so much, Judy!
Please visit her blog and see her beautiful fabric art.

"Iwate"
Acrylic, 6" x 6" Stretched canvas
Donated to JETAA
"Miyagi"
Acrylic, 6" x 6" Stretched canvas
I was born and raised in Tohoku , Japan where the awful earthquake and Tsunami hit hard.
I'm a Canadian now and safe in Ottawa , but this disaster deeply saddens me. I know that most of people outside of Japan have never heard of the Tohoku region in Japan . And now you may have seen the pictures of Tohoku only in ruins, but there are really lovely and peaceful small towns and villages in this region.
Tohoku is not an exciting big urban area or a high-tech futuristic land you may imagine as Japan . Instead, Tohoku has many beautiful high mountains and rugged, dynamic coastlines. Lined with lush green landscapes and clean rivers, towns in Tohoku are lovely and endearing. Farming and fisheries are the traditional way of life. The people are humble, quiet and hard-working. They are shy but once you get know them, they are the warm and kind. They are the heart and backbone of Japan .
We always knew there could be a big earthquake one day, but Mother Nature outdid herself this time. Please help Tohoku people.
(Thank you very much for taking time to read this. It is okay if you can't donate - just please spread the word about the Tohoku people.)
All proceeds from the sales of this painting will be donated to the Red Cross for Japan disaster relief.
